Teatro alla Scala operates with distinct hours for its various departments to accommodate both daytime visitors and evening patrons.
The Box Office:
- Monday to Satruday: 1:00 AM - 6:00 PM
- Performance Evenings: The box office remains open specifically for the evening’s show from 2 hours before the start until the performance begins.
Teatro La Scala Museum:
- Daily: 9:30 AM - 5:30 PM (Last admission at 5:00 PM)
- Special Holiday Hours (Dec 24 & 31): 9:30 AM - 3:00 PM (Last admission at 2:30 PM)
Scheduled Closures: January 1 (New Year's Day), Easter Sunday, May 1 (Labor Day), August 15 (Ferragosto), December 7 (Saint Ambrose's Day), December 25 & 26.

Things to Know Before Visiting the Teatro La Scala
Patrons are expected to dress with decorum; men must wear trousers and long-sleeved shirts, as those in shorts or sleeveless T-shirts will be denied entry without a refund.
Children under the age of 3 are generally not permitted, except for "Great Performances for Little Ones"; older children must have their own ticket and remain quiet during the show.
Latecomers will not be admitted to the stalls or galleries once the performance has begun and must wait in the foyer until the first interval.
Photography and video recording are strictly prohibited inside the auditorium, and mobile phones must be silenced and stored away before the curtain rises.
Wheelchair-accessible seating is available in the stalls but must be booked in advance.
Bulky items, large bags, and umbrellas are not permitted in the auditorium or boxes and must be checked into the free cloakroom.
Consumption of food and beverages is strictly limited to the foyers and bars and is not permitted inside the auditorium or private boxes.
