How to Get to San Siro Stadium in Milan

By Car

From the Tangenziale Ovest, exit at Milano Via Novara and follow the signs for San Siro. From the A4 coming from Venice, take the Milano Certosa exit.

Museum & Tour visitors can use the stadium’s paid car park, which is open only during opening hours.

Parking on the streets around the stadium is reserved for residents. Unauthorized cars risk fines and towing.

By Metro

Take Milan Metro Line M5 (lilac) to San Siro Stadio, the last stop, which is next to the stadium. San Siro Ippodromo is the stop before it.

From the M1, change to the M5 at Lotto. From the M2, change at Garibaldi FS.

On match days, the indoor walkway between the M1 and M5 at Lotto may be closed.

By Bus & Tram

Tram 16 and bus 49 stop at San Siro Stadio M5, near the stadium. Buses 64, 78 and 98 also run in the area.

On match days, ATM diverts several lines, including 16, 49, 64 and 78.

By Train

From Milano Centrale or Milano Lambrate, take the M2 to Garibaldi FS and change to the M5 towards San Siro Stadio.

From Milano Cadorna, take the M2 towards Cologno Nord or Gessate, change at Garibaldi FS, and continue on the M5.

From Milano Porta Garibaldi, the M5 runs directly to San Siro Stadio.

On Foot

From Lotto metro station (M1 and M5), the stadium is about a 15-minute walk.

Construction began in 1925, and the stadium opened on September 19, 1926 with a derby between Milan and Inter.
